Copenhagen Fashion Week

Copenhagen Fashion Week is a bi-annual event held for fashion houses and brands to showcase their seasonal collections.

With sustainability at the heart of the event's operation, we were tasked with developing an info-screen and mobile app that promotes the event and its values to people interested in fashion.

Research & Mapping

What is Fashion to you?

Our primary goal in our interviews was to identify what people with an interest in fashion value. We were able to categorize interviewees and their responses into three main categories.

The main factor influencing which user type we chose to target was the event itself. We determined that the user type most likely to be interested in our solution and the event would be individuals who follow and conform to trends.

We dubbed this user group as the Fashion Enthusiast.

Persona

WIth our target group investigated and defined, we built our persona, Emma, from our Fashion Enthusiast interview data and Value Proposition Canvas customer segment.

Visual Design

"Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking."

We began exploring the visual direction of our solution by mind-mapping associations we have with Copenhagen Fashion Week and our Core Values for the project.

From there, we agreed on three terms that would guide our mood boards and the visual motifs we would incorporate into the solution.

  • Sky

  • Shooting Stars

  • Expression

Style Tile

Using all four of our mood boards as a springboard, I created a Style Tile to function as the foundation for our Hi-Fi Prototype.

Code production

Figma to Code

During production I tried my hand at translating an animated design in figma into code. This was one of my first times recreating a design made in figma with JavaScript.
